The Chair of the Board of Directors of Cyta, Maria Tsiakka Olympiou, has referred to the essential role and positive impact that technology should have on people, and especially on young people.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the recent INSPIRE 2026 Entrepreneurial Festival, during the discussion entitled 'Inspiring Cyprus: Leadership, Collaboration and the Power to shape the future', she said that every young person can communicate, innovate, create and have both the connectivity they deserve and the power of the network they need to be able to work.
"In Cyprus, with 100% coverage in mobile and Fiber networks, even in remote areas, you can create, innovate and advance wherever you are," she explained.
In her address, Tsiakka Olympiou emphasised that each organisation must set an example, while also highlighting the importance of cooperation between all stakeholders. “It is important for everyone to cooperate to inspire young people, (reminding) them that they live in a country where they can succeed and have the potential to move forward,” she noted.
"As Cyta, we seek to have a meritocratic organisation, in which young people who join can advance, while at the same time providing value and technological tools to customers," Chair of the organisation's Board also pointed out.
